The Thracian Cravat

Unique pearl, Roman coin and diamond lion collar

A unique and theatrical statement collar centred by Helen Livingston-Broome. A signed vintage Razza lion head, subsequently altered and reimagined as the focal point of an elaborate multi-strand pearl composition. The lion is set with two substantial diamond eyes, graded D colour and VVS2 clarity, and surmounted by a signed Trifari crown. Ancient Roman coins, mounted in gold and formerly worn as earrings, are incorporated among the pearls and vintage jewellery elements. The dark striped textile ties form an integral part of the neckpiece. Combining ancient, mid-century and precious components, The Thracian Cravat is conceived as a singular piece of wearable assemblage, and is signed by the Artist.

Private collection, New York.
