A large and highly decorative devotional group depicting the Last Supper held within a pair of monumental hands. Christ sits centrally at a white-draped table surrounded by the Apostles, with individually modelled figures, vessels and bread picked out in muted polychrome and gilt details. The composition is supported on an open-book base decorated with modelled roses and raised on a black plinth. A particularly striking example of late twentieth-century religious decorative ware, its unusual scale and theatrical composition giving the piece considerable visual presence.
